American adventurer Pat Morrison (Burt Reynolds) goes to Corregidor, an infamous World War II site in the Philippines, with four army veterans to find a fortune in gold bullion hidden in an underground labyrinth by the U.S. military. Pat's crew, who originally hid the gold during the war, are a bunch of broken-down losers, and he struggles to keep them organized as they hunt.
