While lighting the set of THE ARTIST Ren e George was so inspired by the warmth of the story and wonderful direction by Michel Hazanavicius, stellar performances by Jean Dujardin and B r nice Bejo, and the beautiful historic sets and costumes that her passion for directing was re-ignited. Ren e created a cinematic response with her own black and white silent film, an homage to the beauty of THE ARTIST and a tribute to the French for shooting in Los Angeles. The French had come to America to make a film about love in Hollywood. As an American she traveled to France and made a film about love in Paris. Voila! LE PETIT NUAGE, a film by REN E GEORGE. The lush original score co-composed by ROBERT CASAL and REN E GEORGE features a performance by internationally acclaimed French cellist GAUTIER CAPU ON, appearing courtesy of VIRGIN CLASSICS, Argentinian bandon onist EMMANUEL TRIFILIO, and violinist HENRY GRONNIER and was recorded with live orchestral musicians. French actors SARAH DEMEEST RE, JOFFREY PLATEL and S BASTIEN PIERRE'S intuitive performances bring a refreshing sensibility to the romance of the film. Cinematographer STELLA LIBERT S gorgeous imagery and the formidable talents of the exceptional Parisian crew helped the director realize her vision.
