How long before Vampire Diaries fans see Tyler Lockwood officially return? It could be a while, says executive producer Julie Plec.
"When Klaus puts his mark on you, you're pretty f---ed," Plec tells TVGuide.com. "So we do not have any plans to bring him back until there is a resolution to his Klaus problem."
Tough times are ahead for The Vampire Diaries's Caroline Forbes.
After Klaus (Joseph Morgan) once again threatened to kill Tyler (Michael Trevino), Caroline (Candice Accola) had to watch as Tyler once again ran away to save his life. But instead of having time to cope with the sad loss, Caroline must also remain strong for Elena (Nina Dobrev) who appears to have lost her brother Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). How will she handle both?
Is all hope for a Klaus-and-Caroline friendship officially gone?
In one of the most heartbreaking Vampire Diaries scenes, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) were forced to say goodbye — yet again — so that Tyler could leave town before Klaus (Joseph Morgan) could kill him. While it seems this act would be one of many final straws, Morgan says the dynamic between the two is much more complicated than that.

Marlowe confirms that there will be some further exploration of Castle's father come February sweeps, he certainly isn't the focus of the episodes. "I would not characterize the two-parter as being about his dad," Marlowe says. "Hopefully we can find a great and elegant way to embrace Castle's father's mythology in a way that's going to be exciting."

The Vampire Diaries' Klaus essentially put a target on his back by killing Mayor Lockwood. Nevertheless, Joseph Morgan says the baddie Original doesn't have a care in the world when the show returns from its holiday hiatus.
"In the episodes to come after break, there's a certain amount of him sitting with his feet up, looking at the carnage as it unfolds before him," Morgan tells TVGuide.com. "He's pulling the puppet strings and then letting them go to see what happens."
