The Mob Doctor's pilot episode ended with a literal bang when mob boss Paul Moretti (Michael Rapaport) was gunned down by former mob leader Constantine Alexander (William Forsythe) right in front of Grace (Jordana Spiro). But the end of last week's episode revealed that Moretti didn't actually die.
"I think Moretti being alive changes things drastically for Constantine and what he's trying to do," Rapaport says in the exclusive video below. "Moretti wants power, Moretti wants money. ... He wants the throne."

That scenario, which has been played for comedy in the past, is the stuff of escapist fantasy-adventure in the more appealing and promising of two new network dramas premiering tonight. NBC's heavily hyped Revolution (10/9c) follows a long line of high-concept quick fades including The Event (same network, same night), Terra Nova (same night, different network), FlashForward, V, Alcatraz and so on. Question: Whoa, whoa, whoa. You just called Michael Rapaport "woeful." Hyperbole aside, I have really never disagreed too much with your column(s), but this cannot stand, Matt. Rapaport holds a special place in my heart. Have you seen Higher Learning? And what about Boston Public, especially when he was taking care of the kid? Not to mention his hilarious role as Gary the Cop, Phoebe's boyfriend on Friends. Sure, The War at Home sucked, but I don't blame him. True, I couldn't get past the explaining away of Sarah's "death," so I didn't even make it to Rapaport's scenes, but seriously, why the dislike?
Answer: Maybe I should have referred to his miscasting on Prison Break as woeful so it wouldn't have looked as much like a personal slight.
