Holier-than-thou horndog Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) was last seen on HBO's True Blood as a minister's cheating Mrs. back in 2009. When the crazed character reappears in Bon Temps on June 30, we'll learn "she's written a best-selling book about what it means to be a Christian fighting vampires," Camp says. "And she's working her way into politics, because she's craving more power and fame."
That ain't all she's craving.

It should come as no surprise that the True Blood premiere featured a lot of death — including one that was first suspected at the end of last season.

For example, a recent promo for the HBO series sent fans scouring to find out if Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) would actually meet his maker before the season was up after he was spotted seemingly lifeless in a grave alongside Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll). A jaw-dropping cliff-hanger! Check it out:
Now that True Blood's Vampire Authority is running rampant and killing humans, it's every man — and vampire! — for themselves. Naturally, consummate survivor Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) has successfully planted himself where he'll be most useful: Alongside Russell Edgington (Denis O'Hare), Salome (Valentina Cervi) and Nora (Lucy Griffiths) in a place of power.
How will the formerly vampire-hating baby vamp survive in the impending battle between the mainstreamers and the Sanguinistas? TVGuide.com turned to McMillian to get the scoop, including the future for Steve and his human crush Jason (Ryan Kwanten), and Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric's (Alexander Skarsgard) involvement with the Authority moving forward...
True Blood had quite an action-packed Season 4 finale: Sookie renounced Bill and Eric. They killed a Vampire Authority member. Tara took a bullet for Sookie, who shot Debbie Pelt in the head. Alcide murdered the packmaster. Lafayette killed Jesus. Jason revealed to Hoyt that he slept with Jessica. Steve Newlin showed up as a vampire. And Russell Edgington escaped. All caught up?
True Blood Scoop: What is Tara's fate?
If your head is still spinning from all that, then Sunday's fifth season premiere (10/9c, HBO) won't make it slow down anytime soon. We're sworn to secrecy from revealing just about anything from Season 5... but the cast isn't! Creator Alan Ball, stars Anna Paquin, Joe Manganiello and more open up about what's in store, including new romance, Tara's fate and the return of the most dangerous vampire on earth: Russell Edgington (Denis O'Hare).
