Acted in community theater as a child.
Had early roles in 1977 on the series Logan Run and the TV-movie James at 15.
Worked with director James Cameron on three films: The Terminator (1984), Aliens (1986) and The Abyss (1989).
In the early '90s, he was set to play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in an abandoned cinematic version of the comic-book story, to be directed by Cameron.
