Transformers helmer Michael Bay is reviving the Friday the 13th franchise through his low-budget Platinum Dunes production shingle (which also gave us revalidations of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hitcher). According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bay's remake, unlike the original 1980 story, will focus on Jason hockey mask (which technically he didn't adopt until Part 3) and all while keeping the setting of Crystal Lake.
