Macklemore, Lady Gaga Among Nominees for First YouTube Music Awards


MacklemoreLady Gaga and Justin Bieber are among the nominees for the first annual YouTube Music Awards.

The nominations are based on YouTube data over the past year based on fan engagement, including views, likes, shares, comments and subscriptions. The winners of each of the six categories will be determined by fan votes, counted by sharing the official YouTube Music Awards nomination videos on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.

Madonna is channeling her inner cheerleader for her new music video "Give Me All Your Luvin'."

In the video for her first single from the upcoming album MDNA, Madonna is surrounded (and worshipped) by football players and is joined by cheerleaders  (the sadly underused Nicki Minaj and M.I.A).  The video's best bit, however, may be near the end when Madonna transforms into Marilyn Monroe, bringing back memories of her video for "Material Girl."
