Watch My Show: The Bridge's Meredith Stiehm and Elwood Reid Answer Our Showrunner Survey

Diane Kruger, Demian Bichir

FX's The Bridge (Wednesdays, 10/9c) reinterprets the hit Danish/Swedish drama Bron as a modern-day dark thriller about a crime that occurs on the border between the U.S. and Mexico and how tensions along the border impact that investigation. The message is still there, of course — in this case, involving murder, corruption and cultural prejudices along the U.S./Mexican border — but the issues are wrapped up in an easily digestible format that relies on characters rather than lessons to draw viewers in.
