It is Halloween night in Salem. Stephanie confides in Philip about her fears of losing Max. She worries that even if they work things out, Melanie will always come between them. Phil defends Melanie and Stephanie calls him on it; she thinks he likes her. Philip denies it, saying he turned her in to the police. Stephanie continues to berate him and Philip admits that he is interested in her, but only because he feels sorry for her. Stephanie thinks there's more to it. Philip learns from Victor that Nicole has been arrested. Stephanie is stunned. She really thought Melanie did it. At the pub, Melanie arrives and tries to make nice with Max. Max expresses his feelings that he wants to forget Trent ever came to Salem, or that he went to Marseille. Melanie is hurt by this, but Max quickly clarifies his statement. Max wonders where she is going to go and Melanie explains she isn't sure, but she can't stay there. Nick shows up and offers to let Mel come stay with him at Maggie's house. Max is watch
Nick has been shot and is being treated by paramedics. Max wants to know what happened, as do the French police. Melanie is upset and doesn't want to talk. Chelsea rips into Melanie for risking Nick's life. Melanie wants to know who Chelsea is. Back at the hotel, Chelsea tells Stephanie the truth about why she and Daniel broke up. Melanie speaks in private to the French cop and finally comes clean with Max. Mel tells her brother that their father pimped her out to pay off his gambling debts. Max is livid. He swears he will kill his father. Nicole seeks EJ out as a friend and a lawyer, but does not want anything romantic from him if he has feelings for Sami. Sami finds them together and is upset EJ is not looking for their daughter. EJ does not want to appease Sami's attempts to manipulate him; Allie is not "his" child. Bo and Hope's romantic ceremony has just concluded as a reporter throws out an accusation against Bo. Roman tells the reporter to leave as this is a private family gathering. The reporter accuses Bo of suppressing important evidence in an ongoing police investigation. Hope's face goes ashen. The reporter claims that Bo has abused his power as a cop and has suppressed evidence about the Hollingsworth case. The crowd is in shock, all in disbelief, defending Bo. Roman asks Bo if this is true and he confesses it is. Roman is forced to arrest his brother for obstruction of justice. Roman tells him this will cost Bo his badge. Melanie is accused of stealing Tiffany's bracelet. She lies and Max calls her on it. He gives the bracelet back to Tiffany and the French cop throws both Melanie and Max in jail for possession of stolen goods. Tiffany wants to press full charges against both of them.
