Weeds Series Finale: Did It All Go Up in Smoke?

Weeds

The Botwins — if we can still call them that — said farewell Sunday, with a Weeds series finale that a stoner might describe as... a total bummer, man.

For those who have stayed with Weeds over its eight ever-morphing seasons, it was a nice nugget of nostalgia to hear the original version of "Little Boxes" before the final hour. From there, we flashed eight-odd years into the future, as noted by Stevie's impending Bar Mitzvah. The finale featured several fun, but too-brief cameos from former cast members who breezed in and out as we stumbled toward the main question we hoped this finale might answer: Has Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) learned from her mistakes? Lisa Kudrow on Her Cable-TV Comeback, Web Therapy

Lisa Kudrow, Web Therapy

Fiona Wallice is affected, self-entitled and narcissistic. She is a former businesswoman who stumbled into therapy and then when she found other people's lives too tedious to tolerate, she modified her job into a new "treatment modality," she calls "Web Therapy." Give her three minutes and she'll give you ... something, even if it's just further confusion.

Fiona is the character Lisa Kudrow developed alongside Don Roos and partner Dan Bucatinsky for Web Therapy, an Internet series that bowed on L/Studio in three-minute bursts in 2008, and has now been converted into a cable series for Showtime by combining webisodes and fleshing out previously unseen aspects of Fiona's personal life.

At the show's heart is Kudrow, who spends nary a minute off-screen. Web Therapy (Tuesday, 11/10c, Showtime) finds Kudrow doing that thing that is uniquely hers...

Fall 2011 TV Scorecard: Which shows are returning? Which aren't?

Here are our top TV moments of the week:

12. Saddest Laugh: He's held his own against the likes of the Salahis, George W. Bush and even Kanye West, but apparently Today host Matt Lauer is no match for... small packages? During a segment examining the shrinking sizes of food packaging, Lauer shows the show's financial editor he's just a kid inside — a 5-year-old — when he starts uncontrollably giggling over "small packages." We haven't seen anyone break ...
