Known as a fighter and instigator during his playing career, he had a total of 2,562 penalty minutes.
Compensated for his size (weighed 148 in his first camp, where he was involved in 13 fights in his first three days) by being a tough player.
Drafted by Buffalo in 1992; retired as an NHL player in 2007 due to a concussion.
Joined ESPN in 2008.
