Survivor: Redemption Island castaway Krista Klumpp technically lasted until Episode 6, but many would say her fate was sealed weeks ago when ally (and series villain) Russell Hantz was booted from the game. From that very memorable (and quite disastrous) first Tribal Council of Survivor: Redemption Island, Kristina Kell seemed to have a tough road ahead of her. She found a hidden immunity idol, which Phillip Sheppard quickly revealed to the team. She plotted to get out veteran player "Boston Rob" Mariano, but Phillip spoiled that too. The third time was not the charm for Survivor legend Russell Hantz. After making it to the final Tribal Council back-to-back in Samoa and Heroes vs. Villains, the 38-year-old oil tycoon failed to last until the merge, let alone the jury vote, and was voted out by his all-too-suspicious Zapatera tribemates in just the third episode of Redemption Island. Die-hard series fans thought Russell would have the perseverance to beat Matt Elrod in the final duel, but his dominos fell short and one of the game's most notorious players left on a surprisingly emotional note.

Hours after being renewed for two more seasons, Survivor proved why it's TV's longest-running reality competition series.

After being booted out by his wary Zapatera tribemates last week, returning veteran Russell Hantz had just one more chance to bounce back and fight his way to his third final Tribal Council. But the Survivor player fans love to love to hate fell short in the domino duel against Matt Elrod.
