Thinking she needs a transfusion, he goes into surgery with her. Only later do Quinn (Jerry O'Connell) and Wade (Sabrina Lloyd) find out that it's not a transfusion, but a transference of the fetus. A news report declares the situation, stating that the real Duke Rembrandt has been missing. Quinn sneaks into the operating room to warn Rembrandt, but he's been sedated. Quinn is grabbed by the Duchess' aide, Lady Mary (Hallie Foote), and the Lady's nephew, George Stellos (Dan Gauthier), head of Palace security. Arturo (John Rhys-Davies) intercedes, saying they are the Duke's new assistants. Later, at the palace, the Sliders visit Rembrandt as he awakens. Arturo explains how an epidemic destroyed women's ability to complete the pregnancy, and how once men take the fetus, gestation speeds up. watch
