Marty Moss-Coane, host and executive producer of WHYY-FM's Radio Times, interviews Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett at The Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia during the fifth annual 'A Conversation with the Governor.' This event was hosted by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
Marty Moss-Coane of WHYY's 'Radio TImes' asked PA Governor Tom Corbett about cuts he's made to education and public welfare programs, the impact fee for Marcellus Shale natural gas extraction, taxes, gay marriage and gay adoption, among other topics. All the while, a large protest rally and an even larger contingent of Philadelphia police filled the streets of Center City Philadelphia.
During the summer of 2010, intern Stephen Metzger shot and produced this short video about the making of WHYY's Radio Times with Marty Moss-Coane. Stephen recorded scenes from one of the Radio Times staff's weekly meetings, at which the producers and Marty discuss past and upcoming shows, and then shot inside the studio as Marty conducted the interviews discussed at the meeting.
In the fall of 2007, WHYY's Marty Moss-Coane traveled to the idyllic countryside near Munich, Germany, to meet with Maestro Wolfgang Sawallisch. Set in the music room of his home, Moss-Coane covers a wide variety of topics as Sawallisch reminisces about touring the world, his friendships with orchestra members, how he got his start as a young musician, and much more.
