It's Kevin's wedding day and Jackie's going - not because she wants to, but because Fiona begged her. Meanwhile at All Saints, Akalitus turns her suspicious eye on Jackie now that the DEA is breathing down her neck, Carrie demands that Coop introduce her to his mom, and Zoey's hunch is confirmed when she witnesses Jackie make a near fatal error with a patient.
As Jackie's drug use intensifies, she realizes she needs to clear the decks of the people closest to her if she wants to keep using. Meanwhile at All Saints, Carrie has forgotten Coop's 40th birthday the morning after they've slept together - but is saved by Thor and the world's greatest present. Plus, the DEA investigation into Nancy Wood grows more intense as they zero in on a suspect: Akalitus.
Frank warns Jackie about an upcoming DEA investigation at All Saints - and it's clear the physician¿s number she stole is coming home to roost. Antoinette turns to Eddie for help and more, Coop and Carrie find a way to get around their 'no sex in the hospital' rule, and the death of the newsstand proprietor has the rest of the staff at All Saints reflecting on the anonymity of life.

Jackie detoxes at home - with the help of Frank, Eddie, and Antoinette - and dreams that she is back on the floor at All Saints, where she meets a mysterious patient who exposes her greatest fear. When she awakens, the worst of the detox is over: she's on the mend. Frank raises an objection about Grace moving back home, which boomerangs back to slap him in the face.
Jackie is ambushed by Antoinette - who makes a harrowing confession that spurs Jackie once and for all to get sober. After white-knuckling it through the day at All Saints, however, she comes to a crossroads with the discovery of Oxy in Grace's room. Meanwhile, Akalitus attempts to cheer up Zoey by naming her nurse of the month - and Coops long-held dream finally comes true.
Jackie's fake identity is compromised - but she's got more pressing problems to deal with: she's on her last bag of pills, Frank has just moved in, and her sponsor Antoinette is hounding her about her sobriety. Meanwhile, Prentiss plans a big night out with Zoey, but their date is cut short when she suspects that something is wrong.

Frank throws his back out searching the house for hidden drugs. Realizing she dodged a bullet, Jackie finds a hiding place for them at the hospital. But suspicions are raised again when Grace mentions that her mother is the world's best liar. Zoey confronts Prentiss about his dissatisfaction at All Saints. Mia and Kevin make a big announcement. And Jackie pops a surprising question to Frank.
Jackie goes off the deep end when she witnesses the budding relationship between Kevin's fiancé, Mia, and Grace. Frank discloses a secret about his past - giving Jackie all the ammo she needs to keep him at bay. Meanwhile, back at All Saints, Akalitus' poker streak continues, Coop and Carrie's bond deepens when she decides to put him on television, and Prentiss gets a visitor from his past.
Coop gets the crushing news that his sperm count is too low to allow him to donate. Carrie gets a lucky break, which leads to a medical segment on the local news. Akalitus is on a winning streak, too, with her poker habit starting to pay off. Jackie, however, gets blindsided when Grace - who's been arrested for shoplifting - drops a bomb.
Jackie needs a new source, so she steals Dr. Roman's DEA number and calls in a prescription for herself. Back at All Saints, Carrie gets jealous when Coop is recruited by a 'sperm scout' because of his online dating profile. Later, out on a date with Frank, Jackie spies a hot, young hipster dealing and sneaks off to the bathroom with him.
Jackie's back to using again, but she's doing it differently this time: maintaining a clean and sober cover, going to 12-step meetings - even finding herself a sponsor - all the while getting her drugs from the towel girl at the gym. Meanwhile at All Saints, Zoey finds out that everyone knows about her 'secret' relationship with Prentiss. Season premiere.
