Happy Days Cast Sues CBS Over Merchandising Revenue

Anson Williams, Don Most, Marion Ross, Erin Moran

The Happy Days cast is decidedly unhappy about not winning the jackpot on merchandise using their likenesses on slot machines, comic books, lunch boxes and other collectibles.

Erin Moran, Donny Most, Marion Ross, Anson Williams and the estate of the late Tom Bosley claim that CBS, which owns the show, hasn't paid them money they're owed under their contracts, CNN reports. Their attorney, Jon Pfeiffer, filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Top Moments: Heidi's New Face, Breaking Bad's New Lease on Life and Fringe's New Tune

Fringe, Breaking Bad

There's no laugh like an unexpected laugh. But this week was filled with them, as such unlikely sources as unhappy employees, CSPAN, and a debate about the Fourth Amendment provided doses of mordant comedy. Of course, we also got our usual, predictably solid joy from Cougar Town and a celebrity sing-along — plus a shockingly poignant moment from... The Hills? We can hardly believe it ourselves. Welcome to Top Moments: Ode to Joy Edition.

January 21, 2007: Something Ida This Way Comes

"Medieval" and "mid-level" might sound similar, but unfortunately their meanings are very different. And a coat of arms and people in costume at Nora’s 60th birthday party were the least of the Walker family’s problems. Between drinking in closets and Sarah’s sex tape and grandmothers who don’t know when to refrain from commenting, it’s a wonder they even had time for cake.Nora’s mother (guest star Marion Ross) came as a surprise. I wouldn’t have pictured her as such an unpleasant person, based on what we’ve seen of the rest of the Walkers. I guess it takes all kinds to make up a family, though. I think what I liked most about this story line was the realistic approach to the tension between Nora and her mother. They came to an understanding and parted on good terms, but at the same time viewers got the sense that mother and daughter would continue to disagree from time to time. The situation wasn’t magically resolved, but if it had been... read more

Why did Gilmore Girls cast ...

Question: Why did Gilmore Girls cast the same actress for two different roles twice? First, it was Marion Ross as Great Grandma Gilmore and cousin Marilyn, and now it's Sherilyn Fenn as Anna Nardini and Sasha, the girlfriend of Jess' dad. Why not cast someone new?

Answer: Because it's Amy Sherman-Palladino's show and she'll do as she damn well pleases. "I love [Sherilyn] so much and I don't care," says AS-P. "One thing about the show is I just want the best people. I've just been looking constantly for a time to work with Sherilyn, and I'm getting very old and I could just get hit by a truck at any minute. I just simply can't put it off that long, so I'd just rather get her in and have her part of my world."
