Martin Naranjo (Hector Elizondo) is a star chef with three grown daughters: repressed schoolteacher Leticia (Elizabeth Pe a), quick-tempered corporate consultant Carmen (Jacqueline Obradors) and spicy college student Maribel (Tamara Mello). Understandably concerned about his failing sense of taste, Martin's life is further complicated by Leticia's growing infatuation with Orlando (Paul Rodriquez), a goofy baseball coach; Maribel's interest in Andy (Nikolai Kinski), a handsome Brazilian student; and Carmen's contemplation of a glamorous job offer in Barcelona. And if matters couldn't get any worse, there's always Hortensia (Raquel Welch), the beautiful yet incredibly obnoxious older woman who has set her sights on the successful-but-reluctant widower.
