Just when you thought Gabriel Vaughn (Josh Holloway) would spend most of Intelligence's first season using his chip to track down his presumed dead wife Amelia (Zuleikha Robinson), her story line is seemingly wrapped up neatly in the second episode. Emphasis on "seemingly."

Meet TV's new Six Billion Dollar Man, Gabriel Vaughn, who you'll recognize as Sawyer from Lost. And Josh Holloway is very much the main reason to tune into CBS's Intelligence (Tuesday, 9/8c), a proficient if initially perfunctory action thriller that benefits immeasurably from its star's gruff, bluff machismo. Although a little less brooding (over a long-missing wife who might be a terrorist) would make Gabriel, and Intelligence, a lot more fun.

It makes Gabriel part man and part machine, which also makes him simultaneously America's best hope and worst nightmare; the machine side of him can access a wealth of data, but how he acts on that information is governed by his emotional human side...
