Malcolm Stoddard

Part of the American Film Theatre series, Luther stars Stacy Keach as Martin Luther, a German religious leader who challenges the Roman Catholic Church and subsequently heads up the Reformation movement. Based on John Osborne's play, the story follows Luther from his beginnings as a neophyte within the religious world to his struggle deciding between the theories that shaped his beliefs and a defiant quest for verity.
