Getting Lost: Reader Questions About Jack, Claire and More Answered

In this installment of TVGuide.com's Getting Lost video series, we plucked a few reader questions out of the Getting Lost mailbag.

The topics that are addressed:

• Did Matthew Fox and a young Malcolm David Kelley pre-film a scene during Season 1 to be used in the series finale?

• With Emilie de Ravin back as a series regular for the final season, will Claire be alive... or that special Lost kind of dead?

• Has a time slot — or at least a month — been set for Lost's final season premiere?

Getting Lost: Pregnant Mystery Woman Makes a Special Delivery!

Another Thursday, another installment of TVGuide.com's "Getting Lost" video series. And this one comes packaged with an intriguing "bundle of joy."

But first: On the heels of Walt's still-tall/non-ghost encounter with John Locke, Malcolm David Kelley shares his take on whether we've seen the last of Michael's son. Or... might Walt and his never-fully-realized "powers" resurface next year in time for what undoubtedly will be Lost's thrilling series finale?

Looking ahead to next week's episode, if you seek info on Amy, 24 alumna Reiko Aylesworth phoned us to share some tantalizing tidbits about her recurring character, who turns up next week. Pregnant. (Watch for my complete and completely intriguing Q&A with Reiko next week. Seriously, I had goosebumps by the time we got done. Gonna be a big episode. Game-changing by all accounts.)

Lastly, in the Burning Questions segment, I pass along some of your theories about why Ben was all bloodied at the end of "316." Your new mystery to chew on: What did Kate do with Aaron, and why does it have her so upset? Getting_Lost@tvguide.com is the place to send your theories.

Lost fans really haven't spent much time with Walt in recent seasons, save for a hand-wave from an apartment window and a haunting visit to Locke's would-be grave. Mega Buzz on Lost, CSI: NY, True Blood, NCIS and More!

Senior editors Matt Mitovich, Mickey O'Connor and Tim Molloy answer your questions. Speaking of questions, we invite you to drop us a line at mega_scoop@tvguide.com.

I recently saw Malcolm David Kelley, "Walt haircut" and all, hawking chicken snacks in a Tyson commercial. It didn't fill me with a lot of hope for his future on Lost. Care to comment? — Adam
MATT: Did it occur to you that MDK was working the Walt 'do because he recently filmed an episode of Lost, scheduled to air Feb. 25? Just don't expect Michael's son to factor into Ben's mission to return select former castaways to the isle. As Michael Emerson tells us, "The writers would say that Walt ... left the island at a time that wasn't key. It's not just about the six who left; it's about when and how they left."

I heard a rumor that CSI: NY's Adam saves a life in an upcoming episode. Is this true? — Rebecca
TIM: "Adam doesn't save a life, but he does rescue someone who is very much alive," says executive producer Pam Veasey, who also ... read more

There's No Place Like Home, Conclusion

This season of Lost has been so consistently entertaining and emotionally satisfying that my expectations for tonight were way beyond high I almost knew going in that there was no way that Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse could live up to them As is often the case with this show my instincts were dead wrong The very first scenes tonight provided a much-needed link back to the game-changing events that kick-started the entire Oceanic 6 storyline this time a year ago I loved that the action picked up right where we left off as Jack screamed at Kates car She actually stopped went back and let him have it reminding him that his abandonment of Aaron and his drug-fueled stupor were certainly hurting his credibility It was at this point that we first heard the name Jeremy Bentham identified by Kate as the mystery man in the coffin It was only after I did some research on the web that I was able to figure out well before the final shot who Jeremy Bentham would turn out to read more

28 Weeks Later: Lost's Michael Resurfaces!

Ravenous, twitchy and bloodthirsty zombies versus faux-grungy rag-doll draggers? Sure enough, the Others have nothing on the "infected" folk who first wreaked havoc in 2002's 28 Days Later and are now hungry to decimate humanity even further in 28 Weeks Later. Picking up (you guessed it) several months after the first film, the sequel primarily tails two stalwart kids as the sins of the father... well, you know how the saying goes. Playing an integral role in the U.S. army's bid to nip this new outbreak in the bud is Harold Perrineau, best know to TV fans for his stints on Oz and then Lost. Perrineau rang us earlier this week to d read more

I've been reading a lot of ...

Question: I've been reading a lot of the chatter in the wake of the Lost finale, and one horse that continues to be beaten is the "problem" of Walt growing too fast for the show. People have been talking about the need to get rid of the character or recast the little guy playing the part. I really think it's ridiculous. I don't think the little boy playing the part should be booted for growing. Life happens. It reminds me of shows (and fans) freaking out when actresses get pregnant. The shows should just incorporate it or just cover as best as they can and ignore the rest. Another example was the whole "oh, no, Angel and Spike are getting too old!" nonsense. Life happens, even to actors. I would hate to see Walt go for a stupid reason. Does too-old Walt really drive you crazy, or am I just too fond of Malcolm David Kelley? Answer: The problem isn't that the actor's growing, of course, it's that time moves slower for the Lost castaways than it does for the TV audience, and for the people ... read more

Any news about Walt or ...

Question: Any news about Walt or Michael on Lost?

Answer: Yes, big news. Michael will be getting a flashback episode on May 17, during which we'll learn what, um, Others stuff he's been up to these last couple of months. Whatever it is he's been doing, I understand we'll meet a very different Michael from the one we last knew. Walt will also be back, and yes, he'll still be played by Malcolm David Kelley, who is probably something like 24 years old now.
