Pretty Little Liars' second season finale will finally answer one of the show's biggest questions: Who is A?
The ABC Family drama began a year after the murder of Queen B Alison (Sasha Pieterse), when her surviving quartet of friends began receiving mysterious texts signed with the letter "A." When the sender of those messages is revealed in the Season 2 finale (Monday, 8/7c), executive producer Marlene King says viewers won't feel blind-sided.

In the first-look clip from the season premiere below, Aria (Lucy Hale) bumps into Ezra (Ian Harding) on the street in Rosewood and explains why she's been avoiding him. "I can't let anything bad happen to you," Aria says. "Something bad has happened, you won't let me see you," he replies.

But this is Pretty Little Liars, and King adds, "The finale answers more questions than any other finale we've ever done -- but it raises a few big questions."

ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars and Switched at Birth lead the second wave of Teen Choice Awards nominations with five nods each.
The two will go head to head in the Choice Summer TV Show category, and compete against Keeping Up with the Kardashians, So You Think You Can Dance and Teen Wolf. Liars' Troian Bellisario and Lucy Hale (who won last year) are also up for Choice Summer TV Star: Female along with Switched at Birth's Vanessa Marano, Teen Wolf's Crystal Reed and State of Georgia's Raven-Symoné.

The mystery of Ian's whereabouts on Pretty Little Liars may have been solved, but his death indicates A is behind every event in Rosewood.
In the clip below, Spencer, Emily, Aria and Hanna are surprised to hear from Officer Garrett Reynolds that Ian had been dead at least a week when the girls found him. So those text messages they thought they intercepted from Ian couldn't have really been from him. The PLLs share different reactions to the news:
"Why would A pretend to be Ian and then lead us there to his body?" Aria (Lucy Hale) asks.
"Does it matter?" Spencer (Troian Bellisario) responds. "That guy was scum and now he's dead scum. Who cares if A found him first?"
"What does A want?" Emily (Shay Mitchell) wonders.
