ABC Family's new series Switched at Birth has so far focused mostly on the struggles of its main characters, Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne(Katie Leclerc), as they adapt after their mistaken identities were discovered. But last week's episode revealed that Bay's brother, Toby (Lucas Grabeel), has a serious struggle of his own: his problem with gambling.
"It snowballs and continues to accumulate, and I get into some pretty deep trouble," Grabeel tells TVGuide.com.

Ashley Tisdale may have moved on from her High School Musical days, but wanted to return for Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure to give her famous character a proper send-off.
"The fact that I'm here today is because of the fans of High School Musical and the fans of that character, and I felt like I owed it to them to have a really good ending for her," she tells TVGuide.com.

ABC Family announces summer programming
We've got the first-look photo of the series, which tells the story of two girls who discover they accidentally ended up with the wrong family as newborns. Bay Kennish, played by Vanessa Marano, grew up in a wealthy well-rounded family. Daphne Vasquez, played by Katie Leclerc, lost her hearing at an early age and grew up in a working-class neighborhood with her single mother. After learning of the mistake, the two very different families must learn to live together for the sake of their girls. Constance Marie, D. W. Moffett, Lea Thompson and Lucas Grabeel also star.

ABC Family announced an ambitious summer slate Monday that includes a series about being switched at birth, Raven-Symoné's headlining comedy and the return of Pretty Little Liars.
Leading off on Monday, June 6 at 9/8c is Switched at Birth. The one-hour drama follows two teens, Daphne and Bay, from different backgrounds who learn they were accidentally switched as newborns in the hospital. The families eventually meet and must learn how to live together. Newcomer Katie Leclerc plays Daphne and Vanessa Marano (Gilmore Girls) is Bay. Lea Thompson (Back to the Future), Constance Marie (George Lopez), D.W. Moffett (Friday Night Lights) and High School Musical's Lucas Grabeel co-star.
