Happy Anniversary -- Happy Anniversary is a 16-minute narrative fiction film that explores the dynamics, both cultural and personal, of an interracial relationship. It tells the story of Linda, an Asian woman, and her husband George, on a critical night in their lives. No two marriages are alike. Behind closed doors, each couple experiences a reality that is unique to them, one that often differs sharply, and sometimes even disturbingly, from conventional notions of love and domesticity. Delving beneath the surface of George and Linda's troubled marriage, Happy Anniversary seeks to challenge our notions of personal intimacy, and of cultural identity.

Otto Preminger directs this period drama set in 1940s Georgia, the story of an unscrupulous -- and racist -- landowner (Michael Caine) who sets out to steal valuable property from a pair of hard-working sharecroppers (John Phillip Law and Robert Hooks). One of the farmers is white, but the other is black, prompting the Ku Klux Klan to meddle in both men's affairs. Diahann Carroll, Beah Richards, Faye Dunaway and Jane Fonda co-star.
