Question: I don't know if you've been watching Eli Stone, but I have been, and while I am still not totally sold on the series, I am finding it enjoyable. At the least, I'm trying to give it a fair shake. I like most of the characters (at least the ones I'm supposed to like) except for one: Eli's secretary, Patty (played by Loretta Devine). The main reason I don't like the character is her inexplicable hatred and malice towards Taylor, Eli's former fiancée. From what we've seen so far, Taylor loves Eli, has his best interests at heart, is willing to do almost anything for him and wants to be with him. And, along the way, endures endless backbiting from Patty. In the last episode, the two characters had it out (to some extent) and it turns out that Patty thinks that Taylor's influence (perhaps unwittingly) has made Eli a much worse person and lawyer. This has something to do with the kind of cases that Eli was taking — I guess the big, money-making cases for evil corporations as opposed ...

There's no place like home. Camille Winbush by Ron Tom/ABC
Episode Recap The Heart of the MatterI forgive you Did I hear that right Callie calmly telling George that he made a mistake by sleeping with Izzie but that she was willing to forgive him because of their wedding vows Thank god she changed her mind by the end of the episode because Im not sure I could have forgiven Callie for letting Gizzie off the hook so easily Not after everything weve been through in this whole messy love triangle Though something tells me we wont have anything resembling closure here for quite some timeAnd while I secretly knew that Callie wasnt really planning on a lunchtime brawl it was fun watching Izzie prepare for the possibility of one I think it was the trash-talking that I enjoyed the most especially when Izzie quipped Im just saying I learned to fight in a trailer park Whered Callie learn to fight Boarding school Oh Izzie I may not like the idea of you and George being together but I do admire your passion to fight for

Did someone mention pancakes? Martin Spanjers, Eve Gordon by Scott Garfield
When the episode opened with Alex and Lexie checking each other out in the elevator I thought we were going to see the two of them getting cozy tonight That was so not the case Instead Alex got tied down with the old intern Dr Norman Shales Edward Herrmann who meant well but managed to get in the way more than he helped Sticking with the old dog new tricks theme Dr Sloan and Dr Webber decided to take their chances with a radical procedure in order to prove that they still had that magic touch Their goal was to treat a womans cancer while preserving her ability to speak Fortunately for the patient Dereks last-minute expertise helped to make the surgery a success The only down-side she faced was dealing with the backlash of the brutally honest confessions she made to her friends shortly before the procedure took place Yes I was pretty sure her friends had left the building for good after having been told that they either wore their pants too tight or ha

I can't decide what I was most surprised about since I thought there were multiple shockers in this season's finale episode. So I will make a list of things that I did not see coming: I did not expect Burke to call off the wedding. If anyone was going to put a stop to it, I thought it would've been Cristina. Apparently, Burke could tell Cristina just wasn't ready. I did not expect George to be the only intern that didn't pass the exam. Alex would've been more predictable. I did not expect Callie to be named new chief resident over Bailey. I did not expect Izzie to (gag me) profess her undying love to George with hopes that he would reciprocate the feelings (once again, gag me).While I'm on the subject of shockers, let me also list things that were more predictable and not shocking: I was not surprised that Rebecca's husband Jeff finally showed up, and she wanted Alex to give her a reason to not return to her hubby. I was pleased that Jeff was played by ...

How many of you were sitting there waiting for somebody to ask Addison how L.A. was? Almost the entire hour went by and Sloan finally asked her: "How was L.A.?" Addison replied with, "L.A. was different." And different would be the perfect way to describe the opinions expressed in the comments section last week. I thank you for your honesty, but most importantly, for respecting the opinions of others (including mine). Hey, different strokes for different folks, right? Now, onto this episode...Wow. For those of you who were like me and felt really bad for Meredith after her father Thatcher slapped her last week, how about this time? I'm going to sound like a broken record, but sometimes the best acting is reacting. The way Ellen Pompeo reacted as Meredith while Thatcher yelled at her, blaming her for Susan's death, was acting at its best. I just wanted to hug her. Just like the Chief did toward the end. I love their relationship. Meredith: "Just because you slept with my mother, it d...

After seeing the coming attractions last week, in which the announcer emphasized the "last five minutes," I had just like the title of tonight's episode "Great Expectations," and I was not disappointed. Two of our favorite gals were proposed to simultaneously, thanks to effective editing, and neither of them gave their answers... at least, not until next week. Will Cristina say yes to Burke? Will Callie say yes to George? Can't see why either of them would say no. But the last five minutes also included Izzie offering to give Bailey some of her eight million dollars to pay for the free clinic Bailey is striving for, if it's called the Denny Duquette Memorial Clinic, of course. I was already loving Bailey for being so kind to Izzie when she saw Izzie crying after hugging George: "He gonna be OK?" I've said it before, and I'll say it again: When "the Nazi" shows her soft side, I lose it. After last week, we knew Bailey respected Izzie so this new business relationship wi...

I f---ing love this show. There -- I said it. And to use the title of the episode, "Time Has Come Today" for all us Grey's fans to rejoice -- we finally saw our season premiere! I want to say right away that I really enjoyed all the flashbacks -- and not flashbacks to scenes we've already witnessed ("previously on Grey's Anatomy"). It had a sort of Lost feel to it with the backstories -- not completely Lost-like since most of the scenes were things they've alluded to before, but it was great to finally see them:- The very first time Izzie and Alex said "Seriously" to each other.- George introducing himself to Meredith in an oh-so "I'm Dorothy -- the small and meek" way.- Meredith flashing way back to her childhood and recalling her mother arguing with Dr. Webber at an amusement park.- Cristina meeting Burke for the first time.- Derek throwing Addison out of their home ("We're not 'Derek & Addison' anymore!").- Derek's first meet-n-greet with Meredith at the bar.Those last two we...

Jason Lee and Jaime Pressly, My Name Is Earl
Everybody Hates Chris How cool is it that Chris Rock is giving all the black '70s stars he grew up with work on his TV show? At first I thought Jimmie "JJ" Walker might have landed himself a recurring role as Chris' grandpa, so I was bummed when he croaked before the first commercial break (although not half as bummed as he was, I bet). Still it was a sweet gig, even if he did look all weird and bloated. Ernest "Rog" Thomas was back, too (he was the slick coffin salesman), and corner-store owner Antonio "Huggy Bear" Fargas dropped by Chris' house to pay his respects after the funeral. Something I just noticed tonight (and yes, I am slow): The scenes shot in Bed-Stuy have a rap or s

Question: There is a movie called "Dream Girls" that's either supposed to come out in theaters or air on TV — I can't remember when. The cast includes Eddie Murphy, Beyoncé Knowles and some girl from American Idol. Can you please let me know the 411? Thanks.Answer: Dreamgirls is a feature-film adaptation of the late theater director Michael Bennett's 1981 Broadway musical chronicling the rise of the Dreamettes (later simply the Dreams), a 1960s singing trio who bear no small resemblance to the real-life Supremes. The original cast included Jennifer Holliday (the show's breakout star) as Effie, the full-figured belter who gets squeezed out in the group's bid for crossover success;

Question: Any dirt on Supernatural?
Answer: (SPOILER ALERT) During November sweeps the boys will return to their childhood home (and the scene of their mom's fiery death) after Sam has a vision that a woman is trapped there.
