In their first joint interview in six years, Lionel and Nicole Richie appeared on Larry King Live together Thursday. Why now? Unclear!
What's that? Lionel has an album to promote? Ah, I see. Just Go (in stores now) features collaborations with Ne-Yo, Akon, Tricky and other youngfolk. "I just wanted to just come and support him and just — you know, just show how proud I am of him," Nicole said. Aw. Read what they had to say after the jump...

She's such a copycat! TMZ reports that the affluent Ms. Richie will do her four days' time at Lynwood jail, her Simple Life costar's home away from home for 23 earth-rattling days. The momster-to-be could have done her time at a private facility, but if she'd chosen to do so, she would have had to serve her entire sentence all four days... in a row! By going to Lynwood, she could get sprung by the sheriff as a result of overcrowding and what passes for good behavior before she's even had a chance to reject her first meal. In related "news," dad Lionel Richie tells Us magazine, "In spite of what has happened, I continue to love her and cherish our relationship." And here I wasn't aware that they actually had a relationship. He goes on to take what I assume is a pot shot at La Hilton: "[Nicole] has not blamed others for her problems and is growing up very quickly, albeit in the heat of the media spotlight." Yeah, poor thing.

Everybody Hates Chris How cool is it that Chris Rock is giving all the black '70s stars he grew up with work on his TV show? At first I thought Jimmie "JJ" Walker might have landed himself a recurring role as Chris' grandpa, so I was bummed when he croaked before the first commercial break (although not half as bummed as he was, I bet). Still it was a sweet gig, even if he did look all weird and bloated. Ernest "Rog" Thomas was back, too (he was the slick coffin salesman), and corner-store owner Antonio "Huggy Bear" Fargas dropped by Chris' house to pay his respects after the funeral. Something I just noticed tonight (and yes, I am slow): The scenes shot in Bed-Stuy have a rap or s
