Linda Blair: How I Exorcised Supernatural's Demons

Supernatural fans are in for a special post-Halloween treat when horror-movie legend Linda Blair guest-stars on this week's episode (tonight at 9 pm, on the CW). Now, just to be clear, even though she did star in The Exorcist and this show does often deal with demons, Blair is not playing an otherworldly baddie. In fact, her character is a nonbeliever detective who has a bit of a run-in with the Winchester boys. TVGuide.com invited the delightful actress to share some details about her guest gig, and also to fill us in on the cause that is so close to her heart.

If Tori Spelling's said it once,...

If Tori Spelling's said it once, she's said it a thousand times: She has no beef with her former Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Shannen Doherty. Well, her “true life” VH1 comedy So noTORIous begs to differ. In this Sunday's episode, a terrified Tori hides inside a sex shop to avoid a run-in with her nemesis, er, bestest friend. Later, she flashes back to her 90210 days and Doherty — I'm quoting directly from the script here — appears as a "gigantic, towering shadow" and talks like “Linda Blair in The Exorcist.” Spelling declined to comment, but a source close to So noTORIous insists the bit merely "plays off the joke that everybody thinks they don't get along. The show is all about poking fun at rumors." But will Doherty be laughing? Her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, says her client would be "very, very hurt" by such a monstrous portrayal, especially after Spelling personally invited her to make a cameo. "Tori read more

Somebody sent a feedback comment...

Somebody sent a feedback comment last week that read: "So Dave, I take it you don't like the show." Let me explain what a "train wreck" is. You're driving by a train accident and no matter how disastrous it appears to be, you can't help but look away. A TV train wreck is similar — a disaster that is so bad, it's good. I can't help but be amazed at what has become of the Whitney Houston I admired when I was younger. I'm talking the "Greatest Love of All" Whitney. The "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" Whitney. And, of course, the "I Will Always Love You" Whitney. But maybe this is how she's always been — maybe she's just hidden this side? The way Bobby acts on this show is the way I assumed he's always been. But Whitney? "It's Not Right, But It's Okay." On to the countdown…

10:00 pm At long last, they're at home or at least one of their homes. This one's the main one — their "country club" home in Atlanta. Whitney tries to braid Bobby's hair.
