A successful female lawyer (Carrie Fisher) decides to divorce her failed writer husband. He effectively sues her for alimony, based upon an agreement they had made that she would support him if he put her through law school. The only condition attached by the judge is that if he remarries then the alimony stops. She decides to get revenge by hiring an actress (Rosanna Arquette) to seduce him and get him to marry her.

While visiting old friend Frank Landers in the Philippines, Ninja master Cole (Franco Nero) is approached by villain Charles Venarius (Christopher George). Venarius tries to force Cole into turning against his friend so Vanarius can take over his plantation. When Cole refuses, Venarius brings in his own Ninja Hasegawa (Sho Kosugi), leading to non-stop Ninja-fighting action, ending in a stupendous climax. Containing superb stunt choreography, the film was spawned the sequel "Revenge of the Ninja."
