CSI's George Eads: Dr. Jekyll Will Make Your Hair Stand Up

George Eads, CSI

On Thursday's CSI, Ray Langston's obsession with Dr. Jekyll begins to involve other members of the team.

CSI: The hunt for Dr. Jekyll heats up

When Langston (Laurence Fishburne) and Nick (George Eads) are called to the scene of a family's brutal murder, their investigation leads them to the basement of the house next door, which is full of equipment that suggests Dr. Jekyll lives there.

"We find some of his homemade surgical equipment that will make your hair stand up," Eads tells "The clues he leaves are literally something out of dinner theater. This guy's dropping all these squirrelly clues all over the place. To decipher these clues, we call upon Nick's instinct, but tap even more into Dr. Ray's insights into the criminal mind."

The case takes the team to a hospital, where the investigators soon learn that Dr. Jekyll is impersonating a staff member... read more

CSI: The Hunt for Dr. Jekyll Heats Up

Laurence Fishburne, CSI

The mysterious Dr. Jekyll serial killer hasn't shown up lately on CSI, but the show's producers haven't forgotten about him — and neither has Ray Langston.

Conveniently, on Thursday's episode (9/8c, CBS), "Neverland," Langston (Laurence Fishburne) comes across a familiar name: Nate Haskell. "It's just a little callback to him, which is kind of eerie and could be a sign of things to come," Tom Mularz, who wrote the episode, tells

Haskell (Bill Irwin), of course, is better known as the Dick & Jane killer, who was first introduced... read more

CSI: Get a Sneak Peek at Rascal Flatts' Shocking Guest Appearance

Gary LeVox, George Eads, and Joe Don Rooney, CSI

The music of country-pop supergroup Rascal Flatts has electrified millions of fans, but in Thursday's CSI, it's one of the band's members that gets a jolt.

While playing their hit song "Unstoppable" at a show in Las Vegas, bass player Jay DeMarcus is electrocuted by what is believed to be a technical glitch. The extent of DeMarcus' injury suggests some behind-the-scenes funny business, however, prompting the CSIs to investigate deeper.

After some questioning, it's revealed that, just before the show in question, DeMarcus and fellow bandmates Gary LeVox and Joe Don Rooney had a squabble about continuing to make music together. (Don't worry, Flatt-heads, it's just a TV show!) Guest stars Alan Ruck and Brent Briscoe, who play the band's manager and roadie, respectively, could also be suspects.

"They are the crime story," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn tells of the band's involvement in the show. "This is not just them playing a concert... read more

How CBS Is Making Over CSI — and Laurence Fishburne — This Season

CSI, Laurence Fishburne

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation had a rocky season, and it's time for some course correction -- including a new wardrobe for Laurence Fishburne, CBS' entertainment president says.

"It wasn't just about losing [William Petersen]. That show went through monumental changes last season," acknowledges Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment.

At the network's fall-TV presentation for critics, Tassler enumerated the long-running show's many changes, including the departures of cast members Jorja Fox and Gary Dourdan and the arrival of Laurence Fishburne's Dr. Raymond Langston. "Fans were unsure about where the show was going," Tassler says. "They wanted to see the group back together."

Mega Buzz on SVU, Criminal Minds, CSI, Numbers and More

Mariska Hargitay (SVU), Thomas Gibson (Criminal Minds) and Laurence Fishburne (CSI)

Every week, senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich, Mickey O'Connor and Tim Molloy satisfy your need for TV scoop. Please send all questions to

What's in store for Mariska Hargitay's Olivia Benson during the new season of SVU? — Crystal
MICKEY: Executive producer Neal Baer tells me the unofficial theme of Season 11 is "Benson and Stabler against the world." First all up in their grill is Wentworth Miller, who guest-stars as a cop with whom Benson will both clash... and make sexy eye contact! Next, Emmy winner Christine Lahti's ADA Sonya Paxton will be kickin' a-- and takin' names, which won't sit well for Stabler initially, and Benson ultimately.

I'm going crazy because there hasn't been any news on Criminal Minds. Please, tell me something about Hotch's future! — Francesca
You and many other Mega Buzz readers seem rather concerned about the gun that went off during Hotch's unexpected season-finale face-off with the serial killer known as the Reaper. Well, you should know that ... read more

VIDEO: Fishburne Previews the Reveal of His CSI's Dark Side

Laurence Fishburne, CSI

Remember all that talk last summer about Laurence Fishburne's CSI newcomer perhaps having something genetically in common with serial killers? Although the CBS procedural's producers subsequently backpedaled on such a far-out notion, Dr. Raymond Langston will start to reveal a darker side in upcoming episodes.

"There's going to be an episode where you get to see this 'aggressive tendency,'" Fishburne shares in the video Q&A below.

OK, but just how unsettling can this new side of Langston be? Says Fishburne with a chuckle, "With CSI, you can never worry about being too dark.... I'm anxious to see where it goes."

More in this Fishburne interview:
• Grissom may be gone, but is William Petersen's presence still felt on the set?

How is CSI recovering from the loss of William Petersen's Gil Grissom? By giving country star Taylor Swift her acting debut, freeing new star Laurence Fishburne to find out more about his role, and promising Petersen's return as a guest.

Grissom's last episode — for a while at least — airs Thursday at 9 pm/ET on CBS. Then the ensemble drama will turn to Fishburne's brand-new CSI, Dr. Raymond Langston, as he learns to investigate — and Fishburne learns who his character is.
