Contrary to what you saw on The Hills this season, in reality, Spencer Pratt never apologized about spreading sex-tape rumors, according to Lauren Conrad.
Conrad, who will not appear on the next season of The Hills, chatted with the ladies of The View Thursday about her novel L.A. Candy. She appeared stumped when panelist Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked her how she felt when Pratt called to make amends. "To be perfectly honest, I wasn't on the other line of that call," she said after a long pause. Pressed for details, Conrad added, "That was filmed and I wasn't on the other end. ... So no, I didn't get an apology; he's lying." What's the truth? Read on...

Conrad thanked her fans for their encouragement. "While putting my personal relationships and struggles on television wasn't always easy, the support I received from people made such a difference," she said.

Sunday's episode of The Hills (8 pm/ET on MTV) not only marks the end to Season 5, but an end to the Lauren Conrad era. In honor of our favorite Laguna Beach native turned Hills hottie, we decided to take a look back at all her words of wisdom throughout the years.
Season 1, Episode 9 "Love is Not a Maybe Thing"

MTV will air the second half of the fifth season of The Hills this fall, the network announced.
Leading lady Lauren Conrad, however, will not appear in the new episodes. While a statement from MTV indicates that Conrad "has moved on," Tony DiSanto, a development veep for the channel, pointedly declined to confirm her exit from the show. Instead, he told TVGuide.com that shooting had not yet begun, and that...

Lauren Conrad
When Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt finally walk down the aisle — for real — will Lauren Conrad be there for the nuptials? Mm, it's doubtful.
Out promoting her upcoming voice gig for Family Guy, Lauren was asked if she would be attending the rumored Speidi wedding. The Hills headliner giggled as she told reporters, "Probably not" — although she did note, "Yes, I was invited."
LC also isn't keen on stopping by Hills costar Audrina's new reality show that will focus on the aspiring actress' professional and personal life. "I feel like that's her thing," Conrad explained.
So what is Lauren doing with her time? While her clothing line may be on hold, she's been flexing her other creative muscles with ...

Lauren Conrad
The bad economy has claimed its latest victim: Lauren Conrad.
The Hills star and budding clothing designer is temporarily putting her clothing line on hold, according to Us. Her rep insists, however, that Conrad's duds will be back in stores eventually.
"She is taking a hiatus, but the line still exists and will continue," her rep told Us. "The sales of her line in the first year doubled what was projected. However, in light of the economy, it's a good time for Lauren to take a few seasons off to re-work her still-budding line. She will look over the past seasons to determine what worked and what didn't work so that she may design clothing that will appeal to her fans."
As a result of the hiatus...

The Hills courtesy MTV
Jeers to The Hills for repeating itself. MTV's soap shook up the LC-Speidi feud last season when Lauren started hanging out with Spencer's sister, Stephanie. Now they're shaking it up again as Lauren's hanging out with... Heidi's (much less interesting) sister, Holly. Only this time, Heidi's hoping Holly might "like, peace out" the situation with Lauren, since they all used to be friends like "the three Musketeers." (That sound you hear is Alexandre Dumas spinning in his grave.) This should prove once and for all that The Hills isn't totally scripted, because no writer would come up with such a lame story line. Share your own raves and rants about other shows on the Reader Cheers & Jeers discussion board. We may feature your Cheer or Jeer on TVGuide.com or in TV Guide magazine!
