Laura Dern and screenwriter Mike White are teaming up to create a comedy pilot for HBO.
The project, tentatively titled Enlightened, will star Dern as a self-destructive woman whose spiritual awakening leads her to try to lead an enlightened life, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Dern (Jurassic Park) recently won a Golden Globe for her role in the HBO film Recount.
Production is scheduled to begin in December.
