Life is more precious than ever for police officer Eddie Sutton (Russell Hornsby) and his tight-knit clan in this family drama set in the crime-ridden Lincoln Heights neighborhood. The series' third season unfolds in the wake of a tumultuous second-season cliffhanger that left Ruben (Darrin Dewitt Henson) wounded after taking a bullet for Tay (Mishon Ratliff); Sage (Alice Greczyn) in a coma; and Charles (Robert Adamson) on crutches.

The challenges of raising a family deep in the urban landscape continue to confront cop Eddie Sutton (Russell Hornsby) and his family in the second season of this provocative drama that explores racism, gang violence and other realities of life in the inner city. In Season 2 developments, Eddie is injured in racially charged violence, Cassie (Erica Hubbard) pursues both Charles and her art, and Jen (Nicki Micheaux) lands a new job.
