VIDEO: Prison Break's Lane Garrison Says Jail Was His "Worst Nightmare"

On Monday's episode of Today, Prison Break's Lane Garrison discussed his 22-month jail stay with Matt Lauer. It was billed as Garrison's "first sit-down" interview since getting out of jail in April 2009, which differentiates it from the stand-up interview he did with TMZ earlier this month. And that's on top of the gory details of his real-life prison experience he divulged to In Touch over a year ago. Garrison seemed content to play along and act like this was the first time he's really talked about his jail stay, going as far as to say he's kept quiet till now "out of respect for the family" of his victim. Another Bad Break for Ex-Prisoner Lane Garrison

Prison Break's former Tweener, Lane Garrison, was sentenced on Wednesday to three years and four months in prison for the drunk-driving incident that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old passenger. "The public has the right to know that conduct such as this, causing devastation such as this" won't go unpunished, Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox told the actor. "Unfortunately, in this case, you have to be the messenger." Just be sure to speak slowly when delivering that message to Paris and Nicole. — Ben Katner read more

Joe Simpson Makes Jailhouse Visit to Garrison

Lane "Tweener" Garrison is "surviving" in prison, Joe Simpson tells TVGuide.com. The former Prison Break star once lived with the Simpson family, and Joe, a producer and dad to Jessica and Ashlee, visited Garrison in Twin Towers Correctional Facility, an L.A. County jail last week. The actor is awaiting sentencing for vehicular manslaughter — a 17-year-old passenger died in a crash that occurred when the actor was driving drunk, on Dec. 2, 2006 — and could get more than six years. "He’s doing really good, but it’s a scary place. He’s a good kid with a great heart who’s had a horrible life," says Simpson, a former minister. Garrison, who has admitted to having been a teen thief, has his own cell, we’re told. "That’s helpful for his physical safety," Simpson said. Lane Garrison Begins 90-day Prison Stay

Former Prison Break star Lane Garrison checked in at 9:15 Friday morning to Chino State Prison for a 90-day evaluation, based on his Aug. 2 hearing. "He's holding up OK," Garrison's friend Andrew Gallery told TV Guide Friday afternoon. (Gallery directed the actor's emotional testimonial in the short anti-drinking documentary Graduation Day.)On Aug. 2, Judge Eldon Fox ordered prison officials to evaluate Garrison during this 90-day period to see if he is "suitable for probation," explained a representative of the Los Angeles District Attorney's office. When Garrison returns to Judge Fox's court on Oct. 31, if "he is deemed remorseful and suitable for probation," he will not likely serve additional prison time.An intoxicated Garrison was driving the car responsible for the December 2006 Beverly Hills crash that resulted in the death of 17-year-old Vahagn Setian and the serious injuries of two other teen passengers.Graduation Day, which is being produced by Bob Pack, whose own two youn... read more
