"Never say never," Armstrong joked to The Associated Press on Tuesday. "Just kidding."

Calling it "Retirement 2.0," the seven-time Tour de France champ said he will miss competing, but not the intense training that goes with it. "I can't say I have any regrets. It's been an excellent ride. I really thought I was going to win another [Tour de France]," Armstrong said of his 2009 comeback. "Then I lined up like everybody else and wound up third.

"I have no regrets about last year, either," he said of his 23rd-place finish. "The crashes, the problems with the bike — those were things that were beyond my control."

Lance Armstrong will run 112th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 21. The seven-time Tour de France winner probably could have gotten into the 26.2-mile race based on his celeb status — as Katie Holmes reportedly has — but instead he did it the old-fashioned way: qualifying with an impressive time of two hours, 46 minutes, 43 seconds at the New York City Marathon last November. (The Boston Athletic Association, which organizes the race, is currently negotiating for a national TV broadcast.)....Turner Sports and the NBA are strengthening their relationship next season, with Turner set to take control of programming, marketing and technical operations of NBA TV, the league’s cable channel, as well as the league's websites, including nba.com and wnba.com.
