Carrie Ann Inaba on Her Dream Interviews at the Emmys

Carrie Ann Inaba

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well and having a fun pre-Emmy week like I am. The Emmys are almost here!!!!!!!!!! Have you all chosen your dress to wear at home? It doesn't have to be quite as glamorous as the ones we wear when we walk the Red Carpet, but why not make a day of it? Invite your friends over and get dressed up! Put on the lashes, the tanning cream, the heels (well, forget the heels, you don't need to wear them), get your hair done and then grab a container of popcorn and join Chris and me as we take you right into the excitement that is the EMMYS!

I always think it's more fun when you have someone to turn to and say... read more

The Closer Creator James Duff: "Strike Three"

Mary McDonnell, The Closer

The inability to change creates huge stumbling blocks in every aspect of our lives and, in "Strike Three," The Closer runs into this particular roadblock at full tilt, resulting in one of the very best episodes in our five year run. Obstacles created by resistance to change not only provide the hateful ideology that binds a vicious criminal gang together, but also the motive for a truly terrible triple murder. And when Major Crimes arrives at the scene to find two officers and a civilian dead on the street, they have only begun to encounter the inflexible barriers erected between them and their dangerous suspects.

Enter Captain Sharon Raydor, played by the always brilliant Mary McDonnell, who performs her role as ... read more

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick

Convicted financier Bernie Madoff, sentenced Monday to 150 years in prison, counted a who's who of celebrities among his victims.

Kevin Bacon and his wife, The Closer's Kyra Sedgwick, confirmed in December that they were among the thousands duped by Madoff, who was convicted of hatching a $65 billion Ponzi scheme. The couple did not specify their loss, but Bacon said he was searching for projects because, "I need to work, for obvious reasons."

Kyra Sedgwick Shoulders Fifth Season of The Closer

The Closer

Kyra Sedgwick describes her Closer character, Brenda Johnson, as "incredibly delicate and fragile and yet really, really strong and fierce" — and to look at Sedgwick, that could describe her as well. Dressed in an immaculate white dress, surrounded by a crush of people working the room at TNT's recent spring presentation to reporters and advertisers, she looks as endangered as a lilly at the side of an on-ramp.

Until you see her up close.

Sedgwick, it turns out, is ripped. read more

Will There Be Wedding Bells on The Closer?

Kyra Sedgwick and Jon Tenney in The Closer by Ben Kaller/TNT

Do we hear wedding bells for The Closer's Brenda (Kyra Sedgwick)and Fritz (Jon Tenney) this season? Indeed we do, executive producer James Duff tells TV Guide exclusively. "I will tell you that the first episode of this winter begins with Brenda trying on several wedding dresses," says Duff. "A date is set, but will that date be met? That's the question that we're asking."Although no one knows for certain whether Brenda will make the trip down the aisle, I'd say it’s looking pretty good, especially after Duff shared his thoughts on TV marriages. "Conventional wisdom has it that romance is over once you marry, on television. But I'm not a big fan of conventional wisdom so I can't really tell you exactly how it will happen or if, but this looks like a good relationship to me."Does it feel like a good relationship to you?
