The Fab Five experience "Sleepless in Seattle" firsthand with their next make-better subject Jim Mumford, a physician working at a hospital for the poor, whose wife lost her battle with breast cancer last year. He loved her more than anything and sat at her bedside holding her hand until the end. Loren's mother Hanne promised her daughter she would take care of the kids, and true to her promise, she moved in with the family. In a dark place in his life, Jim still comes home from work and retreats into his dark room, which is filled with photos of his late wife. Not only did the kids lose their Mom, but in many ways, they lost their Dad, too. Hanne, the kids, and even the family dog (who Jim no longer walks) are all ready to move on and they want to help Jim move on too. The Fab Five step in and provide Jim the guidance he needs to realize he can get through this and be a great Dad on his own. At an event at Washington Square Park in New York City, friends, family and a group called "Leashes and Lovers," encourage Jim to smile, meet new people and have fun with his kids and his pooch.
