Horse trainer Cook was born in Seattle and currently lives in Selma, Oregon. Despite having the flu during the first semifinal round of
American Idol's Season 7, her "Rescue Me" was good enough to keep her in the competition. A piano player and former member of the band Sixshooter, Cook has been singing for crowds since the age of 13.
