Question: Have you heard anything about Kristen Bell becoming a series regular on Heroes? I'm sooo hoping she's not one of the "two heroes" who "will fall" in this week's episode. I thought she was supposed to be in several episodes, but maybe the writers' strike cut it short? I think she's awesome, and her character is becoming more and more fascinating with each episode. She doesn't get much screen time — especially in comparison to Veronica Mars (whose cancellation was nothing short of tragic) — but a little Kristen Bell is better than no Kristen Bell.
Answer: Without knowing in advance what's going to happen — I try to avoid spoilers, if you didn't already know — and keeping in mind that on Heroes, dying isn't always what it's cracked up to be (just look at HRG's instant resurrection), I think it's best for now to consider Kristen Bell a regular for as long as she's on the show. Our initial reporting indicated that she was signed for 13 episodes; 11 have been filmed, and she was only

Kristen Bell and Hayden Panettiere, Heroes
This is our kinda hostage crisis! Heroes went on location to the beach at San Pedro, California, to shoot a scene (airing tonight, 9 pm/ET, on NBC) in which Company men Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and Bob (Stephen Tobolosky) plan to swap Claire (Hayden Panettiere) for Bob’s daughter Elle (Kristen Bell), who is being held by Claire’s pop HRG (Jack Coleman). Got that? The chick exchange will lead to a deadly climax — one prophesied in an Isaac Mendez painting — but right now Panettiere and Bell just wanna have fun. We sat down with these two real-life pals for a seaside chitchat.

The Haitian repaid his debt by saving Peter. Jimmy Jean-Louis by Chris Haston/NBC
Episode Recap: "Four Months Ago"Bonsoir mes amis! Leah Friedman (Friday Night Lights, among other blogs) in for Casey tonight, and I figured I'd stick with the Montréal theme. I'm thrilled to be filling in for her for the second in what will hopefully become a series of great Heroes episodes. We all know about the griping (and yes, I've done my own fair share of it this fall) about how the season started out, but between last week and this week, I'm hoping we can all agree that the show is back on track. It was certainly a subtle episode by Heroes standards; more along the lines of last season's "Company Man" than anything else, and as a character study of the Petrellis, Elle and the Sanders family, it worked well most of the time.First off, thank you Tim Kring for finally revealing just how in the hell Peter ended up in Ireland. We already knew that Nathan saved New York from Peter, but in dueling bouts of self-sacrifice, Peter rescued a falling, burning Nathan and deli...

In the first season of Heroes (Mondays at 9 pm/ET, NBC), Adrian Pasdar's Nathan Petrelli seemed to have it all: a loving family, a swank house, a successful Senate bid. But he sacrificed it all to save New York from nuclear apocalypse by flying off with his brother, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia), right before his bro went boom. As this season began, a scruffy Nathan seemed to have lost everything. Pasdar spoke to TVGuide.com about his c

Where isn't the erstwhile Veronica Mars these days? Besides acting villainous on Heroes and spreading rumors as Gossip Girl's narrator, she's been signed to play one of the leads in the upcoming video game Assassin's Creed. The game's publisher won't reveal her character but does admit that she'll play a pivotal part in the bit that takes place during the Crusades in the 12th century. I'm thinking Joan of Arc? History buffs, back me up on this. Tuesday's news was written by Ben Katner.

Episode Recap: "Out Of Time"Welcome to November Sweeps. The writers are on strike, NBC is green and Heroes is back!If youre reading this, there is a good chance you are a regular at the Heroes TV Guide blog. Lets get right to it.Last week, I mentioned Mr. Bennets sloppy handy work in Ukraine. I knew he would get caught! He also destroyed the remaining paintings. Two of which, came true in tonights episode. The battle between Kensei and Hiro and Peters distraught first look at human extinction. Many of you should give yourselves pats on the back! As I watched tonights episode so many of your predictions and comments in the past weeks came true. Especially, when Kensei turned out to be Adam Monroe! So, Kensei/Adam and Claire are immortal. I think they remain forever young at the age they realize they have powers. It looks like we will never see Claire at happy hour. Who liked this episode as much as I did? I know its been slow...

Question: I thought Kristen Bell rocked on Heroes!
Answer: Really? I was expecting more. Not from Kristen, but from Heroes. Maybe Veronica Mars spoiled me, but her dialogue lacked a certain electricity, if you will. That said, her presence without a doubt gave the show a much-needed boost. And remember my hint in last week's AA about a surprising familial connection coming to light between two characters? Well, it may or may not have something to do with the call that Elle made to her daddy at the end of last night's episode.

Kristen Bell by Chris Haston/NBC
Cheers to Kristen Bell for sparking Heroes to life. In just a few scenes, the Veronica Mars veteran juiced up the slumping sophomore drama as Elle, an assassin sent to track down Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) in Ireland. Using her electrical powers, she incinerated gang leader Ricky (Holt McCallany) and was promptly called home by her unseen father, which raises the intriguing question: Who's her daddy? Somehow, we doubt she believes Father knows best. One thing we do know: Bell's live-wire performance turned Chapter 5 into this season's strongest episode yet.More Cheers & Jeers: Read and react to Bruce's opinions on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mad Men, Bionic Woman and Friday Night Lights, then share your own raves and rants about other shows on the new Reader Cheers & Jeers discussion board. Episode Recap: "Fight or Flight"What would you do if you were faced with your greatest fear?It was around this time last season that Eden sacrificed herself. I was shocked when she fought against Sylar and managed to take her own life before he could steal her power. Tonight, Ricky sacrificed himself as well. He may not have stuck his finger into a socket on his own, but he did lie to protect Peter and his sister. In the end, he paid with his life. He literally was toast." So, Peter and Elle have met before. Also, the box? A passport and ticket to Montreal! Thats it? I really thought there would be more to it.I am a Veronica Mars fan. So, I was psyched to finally see Kristen Bell tonight. Sadly, I was a bit disappointed. Maybe its my own fault; my expectations were too high. I know her character is going to get interesting, but when? The list of questions continues: Who is her father? Is she good, evil or confused? Do she and/or her father work for The Company? Wh...
