Reno's former partner, Elaine Hart (KIM JOHNSTON ULRICH), asks him to help locate Richie Pascoe (KEVIN GAGE), an unethical cop she testified against. Pascoe intends to have her killed by a hit man unless she can stop him. Reno and Elaine track Pascoe to his palatial mountain retreat where he is killed during a motorcycle pursuit. Meanwhile, a contingent of East Coast drug dealers arrives at Pascoe's, expecting a shipment and mistaking Reno for Pascoe. Reno and Elaine pretend Reno is indeed Pascoe, hoping to find Pascoe's cache of drugs and apprehend the drug dealers. Instead, they find themselves in trouble when the head buyer shows up and discovers their ruse.
