Krysten Ritter and James Van Der Beek
Forget about the bad girl. Embrace the Beek. As in James Van Der Beek, the long-ago Dawson's Creek heartthrob who spoofs his own quasi-celebrity status with such ruthless zeal he elevates ABC's latest odd-couple comedy into a surreal stratosphere of anything-goes outrageousness.

When did Mad Men become a horror movie?
Set against the backdrop of panic caused by Richard Speck's 1966 massacre of eight nursing students in Chicago, Sunday's episode, "Mystery Date," was filled with chills (a strangulation, things that go bump in the night at the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce offices, grandma Pauline's butcher knife) and at least one thrill (Joan finally shipping her husband off to Vietnam for good).

Let's start with the thrill first...

After an interminable 17-month hiatus, AMC's Mad Men is finally back! And you thought we weren't going to get any Mad Men dish before the Season 5 premiere.
So what if only some of it pertains to future episodes? You already know that they don't do spoilers. Does that mean you don't you want to know who series boss Matthew Weiner considers to be the healthiest person at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce? Isn't it just fun to hear Weiner and the cast talk about making the show?
Exactly. To further whet ...
Emmy ballots are almost due! Over the week, Emmy voters will be checking off names and shows they think are worthy of getting a nomination come July 14. We here at TVGuide.com have a few picks in mind ourselves. Next up: our dream ballot for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama:
It was the question every Mad Men fan was asking during the Season Four finale, and smirking Roger Sterling summed it up perfectly: "Megan, out there?" Don Draper's impulsive decision to pop the question to his secretary Megan was certainly the whopping shocker of the night, but it wasn't the only one. Turns out Joan didn't have her abortion after all (how's that smirk doing now, Roger?), while Peggy is practically inventing the women's movement, albeit in Topaz pantyhose. Shortly before the finale, TV Guide Magazine spoke to Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner to get his thoughts on a mad, mad, mad, Mad Men season....
"Who is Don Draper?" was the opening line of Mad Men this season. As it concludes, will dapper Don (Jon Hamm) be any closer to the answer? "Absolutely, conclusively," insists John Slattery, who plays fellow adman Roger Sterling. "Don came through his divorce, started the new business and survived his own personal cauldron. He ends the year transformed."
Nurse Jackie star Edie Falco still insists she's not funny. Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston says his third win might be too sweet. Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi reveals that she smacked her competition, literally.
Here's what Sunday's Emmy winners said backstage:
"Honestly, I was rooting for either Michael Emerson or Terry O'Quinn to take it because I'm obsessed with...
If you're a fan of AMC's Emmy-winning drama Mad Men, you don't need a reason to watch the show's Season 4 premiere Sunday. (It's been circled on our calendar for months!) But since we've been lucky enough to see it, we thought we'd give you extra incentive, in the form of these few mild spoilers...
