Original 24 Producer-Director Returning for Live Another Day

Jon Cassar, an original producer and director from 24, is returning for the upcoming event series 24: Live Another Day, Entertainment Weekly reports.

"Considering I was not involved in Season 8, this new 24 event series gives me the chance for closure on a show that is very important to me," Cassar, who won two Emmys for the series, said. Added producer and showrunner Howard Gordon: "Jon was a profoundly integral part of 24 creatively and culturally. It doesn't feel like it would be 24 without him, and we're all just really thrilled to be working with him again."

It's official: Jack's back! Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly announced on a conference call Monday that the network is bringing back action series 24, with Kiefer Sutherland reprising his role as CTU agent Jack Bauer.
