[Warning: This story contains major spoilers from Wednesday's episode of Arrow. Read at your own risk!]

Slade Wilson's dastardly plan claimed yet another life during Wednesday's episode of Arrow — but this time, there was a twist!

After Oliver (Stephen Amell) tracked down the stolen S.T.A.R. labs machine, which was being used on Roy (Colton Haynes) to filter the Mirakuru in his blood to the prisoners that Slade (Manu Bennett) recently set free, the emerald archer faced off against both Slade and Isabel (Summer Glau). But Diggle (David Ramsey) made short work of Isabel, shooting her in the chest.

Arrow Postmortem: Season 2's Big Villain Revealed! What's Next?

[Warning: This story contains major spoilers from Wednesday's midseason finale of Arrow. Read at your own risk!]

The real big bad of Arrow's second season was finally revealed!

It turns out Sebastian Blood's (Kevin Alejandro) quest to make super soldiers is under the direction of Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett). Sporting his infamous eye patch, Slade was seen in present-day Starling City, telling Brother Blood that he is determined to burn the vigilante's world to the ground. Why does he hate Oliver (Stephen Amell) so much after spending all that time with him on the island? Because, given a choice, Oliver instinctively saved Sara (Caity Lotz) over Shado (Celina Jade) on the island, much to the dismay of Slade, who had harbored feelings for Shado.

But that was the least of the action during Wednesday's midseason finale, which also featured Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) taking one giant leap to becoming the superhero we all know and love. What's next for him and the rest of Team Arrow? Executive producers Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti were on hand during a screening of the episode to tease what's next: read more

Arrow Scoop: The Count's Return Won't Be Oliver's Only Problem

The Count has returned to stir up more trouble in Starling City — and this time, his quest for vengeance against Oliver will put Team Arrow in the line of fire.

On Wednesday's episode (8/7c, The CW), viewers will discover that The Count (Seth Gabel) escaped from maximum security prison during the Undertaking and has set his sights on making Oliver (Stephen Amell) pay for using his own drugs against him. "The Count has learned from his past mistakes and he's spent countless days replaying in his mind the last confrontation that they had... read more

Wednesday Playlist: A Toy Story Special, Burton and Taylor, EPIX Gets Schooled

It's Scream with playthings. A scream and a hoot, to be precise. And the first real event of the Halloween season, deserving to become an annual family tradition right up there with It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown — which ABC is holding until Halloween night itself. Disney Pixar's first made-for-TV special, ABC's Toy Story of TERROR! (Wednesday, 8/7c), is a delightful half-hour vignette of gags, action and self-empowerment, couching its never-give-up message in terrific non-stop entertainment. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are back as Woody and Buzz, along with such other iconic fan faves as Don Rickles' Mr. Potato Head and Wallace Shawn's anxious dinosaur Rex, but the focus is on cowgirl Jessie (Joan Cusack), who has to face her abandonment issues and fear of being boxed up alone when one by one, her pals keep disappearing from a shady roadside motel where their owner Bonnie (and her mom) are staying overnight.

Arrow Bosses Tease New Villains, Black Canary and More Season 2 Scoop

When Arrow returns on Wednesday (8/7c on The CW), it will do so without its hero. In the wake of the Undertaking — in which an earthquake machine leveled half of The Glades — Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) has retreated to his own sanctuary ... and we're not talking about the Foundry. The emerald archer has ditched his hood for the safety of Lian Yu, the island where Oliver was marooned for five years of his life.

Exclusive: Arrow boss sets the record straight on Black Canary casting

It won't be long, however, before Oliver is pulled back into the world of Starling City, where his family name is now synonymous with mass murder. Will Oliver be able to be the hero that the ravaged city needs? Who might stand in his way? TVGuide.com caught up with executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Andrews Kreisberg to get the scoop on Season 2: read more
