John Wells the mighty force behind The West Wing and ER has cast his new LAPD project with Regina King, Kevin Alejandro and Michael McGrady for NBC.According to The Hollywood Reporter, King will play Lydia, a smart, sympathetic detective in the Hollywood division.Alejandro will play Nate, a happily married detective with several kids, and McGrady will play a detective who deals primarily with gang-related crimes and is obsessed with his family's safety. All that's missing is the wise-cracking "goofball" character, but it's still early in the casting process. Kevin Pollak, with whom James Woods shared the silver screen in Casino, is joining Shark in the recurring role of new Los Angeles District Attorney Lloyd Cutler. Another new face coming on board CBS' hit drama is Kevin Alejandro (you say Ugly Betty, I say Drive), playing a street-smart prosecutor who specializes in organized crime. Sounds like the "Sam Page replacement" Ausiello scooped a ways back, yes?Also per the Reporter, ABC's Cavemen namely, Cro-Mag Joel's younger brother is getting a makeover. Sam Huntington (Superman Returns' Jimmy Olsen) is in as Andy, while Dash Mihok is out as Jamie. What's more, the pilot screened at the upfronts will not kick off the series in the fall. Instead, a new opener is being filmed, one which better (meaning at all) addresses the cavemen's existence in modern society. Small detail, that.

Everything has meaning. There are no accidents. Susan ChambleeUp to the halfway point of the episode, I was originally going to complain that the episode wasnt living up to the standards of the previous ones. Boy, was I wrong. The first half was exposition that set up major events to come in this and future episodes. Where to begin? How about the Jump Start? I couldnt understand why everyone had no idea where they were going based on the clues considering that the location was shown on the map in the film. Of course, rewatching that scene revealed something that I missed the first time rather than representing their actual location (considering they were in Georgia and the map was of Colorado), it was just an example of how the Jump Start works. My concern here is that if it confused me (because I wasnt paying attention), what about how it would affect the casual viewer who tunes in? Then again, Im not the brightest bulb in the box, ...

He was a coproducer and writer for Angel and Firefly. He also was the creative force behind the series Wonderfalls and The Inside. With the exception of Angel, all have aired on the Fox network and all were cancelled before their time. Cancelled? Sadly, yes. Yet, even though they were only broadcast for a short period of time, fan communities for his shows developed, later to be heartbroken over their cancellation.So here we have Tim creating yet another show for the network that likes to cancel his series. Is Tim a glutton for punishment? Is this show even worth your time? How will it appeal to the fans of his other series? Kevin Alejandro (Sleeper Cell) and Mircea Monroe have been cast opposite Nathan Fillion on Drive, Fox's mid-season drama series. Playing participants in an underground cross-country race, Alejandro and Monroe replace Andres Saenz-Hudson and Taryn Manning, though Manning is expected to stay with the series in a different role. Other roles, including the one filled in the original pilot by Alan Ruck, are also being recast. Poor Cameron.... Also per the Hollywood Reporter, junior middleweight champ Oscar De La Hoya will guest-star as a trash-talking doctor on ABC's George Lopez, which premieres its sixth season on Jan. 24.
