Kelly Stables Fast Facts:
  • Her earliest memory is of knocking on neighbors' doors, giving them hand puppets made from brown paper bags and inviting them to a show on her driveway that night, in which she sang along to records while in her nightgown.
  • At 5 years old, she played an angel in a Christmas play and remembers looking disapprovingly at two other little girls who were playing angels and giggling because they were nervous.
  • Was a cheerleader, prom queen and senior-class president in high school.
  • Her first professional gig was performing in the chorus of Godspell at the Muny Opera in St. Louis, MO, as a teenager.
  • Made friends with Oscar-winning makeup artist Rick Baker while doing stunt work on The Ring; Baker later helped her get cast as Samara in The Ring 2.
