It was just two weeks ago that Candice Glover was crowned the winner of American Idol's Season 12, but even before the announcement was made, the Idol powers that be were already looking ahead to Season 13 to figure out what could be done to salvage the ailing series.
American Idol fans aren't the only ones waiting to find out who will join the judges' table next season: Keith Urban is too!
"I have no official information of anything," the country singer told The Associated Press. "I'm pretty much in the same boat as everybody else here with the rumors that have been floating around. It was like this before I signed on ... so it's not unusual for the Idol folks to be in this place of figuring out what they want to do, then they always pull it together."
Jennifer Hudson may be returning to American Idol.
After news broke that American Idol may employ alumni as judges next season...
American Idol Season 12 runner-up Kree Harrison says she has no regrets about her time on the show, even deciding to let eventual winner Candice Glover close out the finale.
"People are asking me why I chose to go first and honestly, it was in the moment," she tells TVGuide.com. "I just said, 'Where do you want to go, first or last?' And Candice said last, and I don't care because I get to perform at the finale, whether I'm performing first or second."
American Idol is looking to replace the judges' panel with former contestants, according to a new report by Vulture.
Although both Fox and the companies that produce Idol have yet to comment on next season, sources tell Vulture that Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson have both been approached, and that Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken are on the shortlist as well.
