Holiday Weekend Playlist: Garish Candelabra, Earnest Ring

Michael Douglas

No one saves face in director Steven Soderbergh's ghoulishly entertaining, opulently produced Behind the Candelabra (Sunday, 9/8c), HBO's grandest, gaudiest and most fascinating movie in quite a long while — probably since last year's Game Change, in which Julianne Moore's uncanny impersonation of Sarah Palin swept the awards the way Michael Douglas is likely to repeat with his equally astonishing transformation into the flamboyant but closeted "Mr. Showmanship" Liberace.

Ask Matt: Dance Shows, Suits, Breaking Bad, the TV Olympics, More

Cole Horibe and Lindsay Arnold

Question: Any thoughts on this season of So You Think You Can Dance? The format change and unfortunate interruptions this year from Independence Day and the Summer Olympics have forced multiple eliminations in some episodes to keep them on schedule, and we've lost a few promising contestants that I feel may have been cut too early on. How are you finding this season so far? — Brodie

Dancing With the Stars' Donald Driver Wins the Mirror Ball Trophy!

Peta Murgatroyd, Donald Driver

William Levy's 6-year-old son, Christopher, was inconsolable. Levy picked him up, rubbing his back and talking to him quietly, trying to explain that daddy was not a loser, but rather, "that we were all winners," says Levy.

Dancing With the Stars: The Skin Game

Katherine Jenkins, Mark Ballas

We have never seen this much skin. This season, Dancing With the Stars is as much a battle of the delts and pecs as it is a rumble for the best heels and toes on the ballroom floor.

Question: What's the deal with ABC's treatment of Cougar Town? I know the ratings have been anemic, but bumping it twice for Dancing With the Stars recaps is cruel to the fans of Cougar Town, fans who waited nine months for new episodes. I waited patiently, thinking ABC had a good plan for the show and that the wait would be worth it, but instead, I'm kept waiting. They paired it with a show it doesn't match at a time slot that's not appropriate, but still, I thought: at least my show is back on, I'm hanging with the Cul-de-Sac Crew again, it'll be OK. Instead, two weeks in a row, I get the shaft. Whatever happened to the plan to pair it with Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23 on Tuesdays? read more

Dancing's Katherine Jenkins: I Don't Want Any Expectations Put on Us

Katherine Jenkins

After the highest-scoring Dancing with the Stars premiere ever, only one person has remained at the top: Katherine Jenkins. The classical singer and her partner Mark Ballas have led the leader board for three weeks running — earning two 10s for her heartfelt waltz in tribute to her late father last week. She will look to four-peat Monday with her paso doble for Rock Week. "It's wild! Never in my life would I think I'd be doing this well and would be getting these marks and comments," Jenkins tells TVGuide.com. "But I'm not concerning myself too much with scores or trying to [maintain a streak]. You can't think about that." See what else the Welsh native has to say about joining the show, the fan reaction and shaking her naughty bits.
