Candice Accola and Joe King
Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola and The Fray guitarist Joe King got married in New Orleans over the weekend.
Vampire Diaries fans certainly breathed a sigh of relief at the end of the Season 6 premiere when we learned that Damon Salvatore was alive, but we sure as hell won't be satisfied until he returns from, well, wherever he is.
The Vampire Diaries boss answers our biggest burning questions
Absent from nearly the entire hour, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) finally emerged in the final moments, giving the audience just a few clues as to their whereabouts — somehow in the '90s. But even if one or both somehow return, it won't be for several episodes, leaving the series devoid of some of our favorite things.

Where exactly are The Vampire Diaries' Bonnie and Damon? Viewers are finally about to get that highly anticipated answer.
"We'll figure it out in the next episode," executive producer Caroline Dries told a small group of reporters following a screening of the Season 6 premiere. "They're discovering it along with the audience. [The final scene was] to tease people [and say], 'Don't worry we haven't forgotten about them.'"

The Vampire Diaries' Elena Gilbert might be distraught after losing the love of her life, but she's certainly got a funny way of showing it.
Gone is the girl we saw sobbing over the loss of Damon (Ian Somerhalder) when the "Other Side" crumbled at the end of Season 5. Instead, get ready for an upbeat, albeit somewhat delusional Elena (Nina Dobrev) burying her head in her studies while nursing a new hallucinatory spell problem on the side.
Uh-oh! The first trailer for Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries is here and things aren't looking so good for our favorite vamps.
Of course, that's par for the course in Mystic Falls—or should we say Mystic Falls-adjacent, now that magic no longer works within the town limits? Whatever. Either way, Elena and Co. will certainly be struggling when the series returns on Thursday, Oct. 2 at 8/7c.
How will Damon and Bonnie get back from the Other Side? And what exactly is that, anyway?
Those were some of the burning questions that were brought up at The Vampire Diaries panel at Comic-Con moderated by TV Guide Magazine's Damian Holbrook on Saturday. On hand were stars Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham, surprise guest Matt Davis and executive producer Julie Plec to answer fan questions and give an idea of what's ahead.

The sound you just heard was about 4,000 Vampire Diaries fans losing their minds over this perfect video that kicked off the show's panel at the San Diego Comic-Con this afternoon. Featuring Kat Graham and Ian Somerhalder musing over the fate of their characters, Bonnie and Damon, now that they've been sucked into oblivion, the video hits all the right notes and brings up a few good questions. Will we see a bigger storyline for Tyler? Could he be Elena's new guy? What is Alaric gonna do now that he's alive again? And most importantly, are "Bamon" gone for good? (Don't make us laugh!)
Here's the clip, which we're sure those in the San Diego Convention Center's packed Ballroom 20 will want to check out ASAP, since there is no way they heard most of the jokes over their room-rattling screams.

Vampire Diaries fans have seen Elena Gilbert grieve, but when Season 6 premieres, she'll have seemingly moved on from losing the love of her life, Damon.
"One of the big questions you'll be asking when we get back is how did she pick up the pieces?" executive producer Julie Plec told TVGuide.com. "Or did she pick up the pieces at all? When we come back, several months have passed and Elena has returned to her life at school and seems to be doing well, but the mystery is really how well is she doing? And she's got some odd and awkward coping mechanisms that inform a lot about where she is and how she's handling this particular grief."
The Vampire Diaries has a new sheriff in town.
Eureka's Colin Ferguson has been cast as Tripp, TVGuide.com has confirmed. Tripp is a strong and disciplined head of a community militia and surrogate father to his young trainees who will do anything to protect his town. He'll first appear in the Season 6 premiere, which takes place following a significant time jump.
Executive producer Julie Plec first teased the news on Twitter writing, "He's in town to give Sheriff Forbes a run for her money." Ferguson, best known for playing Sheriff Jack Carter on the Syfy series, also shared his excitement about joining the CW drama adding:

Change is coming to The Vampire Diaries.
The CW show's fifth season wrapped up by executing a plan to save the Other Side. After getting all The Travelers in one place, and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Matt (Zach Roerig) setting up a gas leak, Damon (Ian Somerhalder), with Elena (Nina Dobrev) in tow, crashed through the Mystic Grill causing a massive explosion that killed all parties involved. Once on the Other Side, while Liv (Penelope Mitchell) enacted a resurrection spell, Stefan (Paul Wesley), Elena, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and Alaric (Matt Davis) were able to cross back through...
