Turk is still waiting on Carla to answer his proposal, and asks his brother to stay over a few days to help him deal with it. But Kevin, Turk's image of a happy marriage, comes with bad news: his wife has left him, and now Turk has to put aside his feelings and deal with his brother. Meanwhile, Dr. Kelso is faced with having to let go Dr. Townshend, an old friend of his and one of the nicest doctors around when he finds out Dr. Townshend doesn't have the energy to update his medical techniques. And Elliot accidentally finds out the sex of Jordan's baby, becoming the object of Dr. Cox's anxiety. watch
Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) assigns J.D. (Zach Braff) to work on a patient with Dr.Townshend (Dick Van Dyke, "Diagnosis Murder") -- his longtime friend and colleague -- but things go downhill when Dr. Townshend insists on using his "old school" treatment method which proves to be an alien concept to an inept J.D. While Kelso defends his friend's technique, Dr. Townshend's lack of current medical knowledge forces Kelso to admit his mistake. Meanwhile, Carla (Judy Reyes) tells Turk (Donald Faison) she needs time to consider his proposal because she thinks he is still too immature, prompting Turk to invite his married brother (D.L. Hughley, "The Hughleys") for a visit to show Carla how seriously he is. In addition, Elliot (Sarah Chalke) learns the sex of Jordan's (guest star Christa Miller Lawrence) baby, but Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) and his ex-wife can't agree if they want to know. watch

Ever since her father cut her off financially, Elliot's been feeling the weight of the world on her back. While having to find a new affordable place to live, she also has to face the threat of being sued by a patient whom she told had only 8 months to live (and the problem is 9 months have passed by ever since). Carla and Jordan hit a sore spot when Carla gives her opinion on Jordan and Cox's relationship. Meanwhile, J.D. has a fight with Dr. Cox and the two have a dispute over who gives the better treatment to two patients with the same prognosis, after J.D. gets so full of himself for picking up on an uncommon flesh eating bacteria on one of Dr. Cox's patients. J.D.'s patient ends up dying, though he didn't do anything wrong. All he didn't have was luck. watch
