Julie Harris

Broadway icon Julie Harris, who also starred in Knots Landing, died Saturday of congestive heart failure at her home in West Chatham, Mass., The Associated Press reports. She was 87.

Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman’s Laurence Haddon Dies at 90

Haddon passed away May 10 in Santa Monica, Calif., due to complications from Lewy body disease, a form of dementia.

Haddon got his start in entertainment as a stage and live TV actor in the late 1950s after serving as a Merchant Marine in WWII. He shared the Broadway stage with Larry Hagman and Julie Harris in 1959's The Warm Peninsula.

Influential Hollywood Agent Sue Mengers Dies

Sue Mengers

Sue Mengers, one of the most influential Hollywood agents during the 1960s, '70s and '80s, died following several small strokes, Vanity Fair reports. She claimed to be 78 years old, but some sources said she was 81.

According to Vanity Fair Editor Graydon Carter, Mengers died Saturday at her Beverly Hills home surrounded by close friends, Ali MacGraw, Joanna Poitier (wife of Sidney) and Boaty Boatwright.

Angela Lansbury will get the chance to make Tony Award history as she goes for her record sixth trophy next month.

On Tuesday, the actress earned a featured actress in a musical nomination — her seventh overall — for her role as Madame Armfeldt in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music. The former Murder, She Wrote star, who's been 0-for-18 at the Emmys, tied Julie Harris last year as the winningest Tony performer when she picked up featured actress in a play for Blithe Spirit.
