Niles' surgery brings about reflections of the past, present and future. Prepped and gowned, Niles awaits bypass surgery as his loved ones surround him. When Maris calls to wish him well, he begs the nurse to sedate him. Daphne is particularly nervous, while Martin makes light of the situation by comparing Niles to a car going in the shop. Frasier treats it as a research project and annoys everyone by handing out packets of information about the procedure and even tries to advise the doctor, implying that he can do the operation more effectively himself, much to Niles objection. While getting wheeled into surgery, Niles is groggy and rambles on about hospitals holding memories of life's most dramatic moments. Each room he passes shows a glimpse from his life, including when he broke his leg as a child. Meanwhile, Roz flashes back to a humorous moment when she took her baby to the hospital because of a rash on her face, only to discover it was her lipstick marks! In the waiting room, Daphne tries to keep her cool as Martin compares the experience to waiting for a haircut. Frasier and Martin get into an argument over a stuck Chunky bar in the vending machine and Daphne displaces her anxiety by smashing the glass with a fire hydrant. Martin walks over to console her and crosses by a room that holds the memory of him and his wife from the 1980's being told by the doctor that her x-rays aren't good. Everyone breathes a sigh of relief when the doctor finally announces that Niles is out of surgery and doing fine. While Daphne is walking down the hall, she passes by a joy-filled room from several years in the future. Niles is holding their two-year old daughter, introducing her to her newborn sister that Daphne is holding from the hospital bed. watch

FinallyWhat the Season 2 opener of Dexter lacked in vigilante crimes it made up for in the sheer amount of evidence found from Dexters previous exploits Dexter has been off his game for 38 days 16 hours and some minutes after having killed his brother the infamous Ice Truck Killer Fortunately for us it made for some exciting heart-pounding fear Or was it an adrenaline rushIn the new season Doakes has a personal vendetta against Dexter and has made it his priority to follow Dexters every move Dexs answer to try to shake him off his trail was to bowl Seems he was trying to bore him to death And when Doakes finally takes a night off it looks like Dexter may have won that battle When he failed to commit to killing the blind voodoo priest I was rather worried for him and Little Chino too Dexters loss of confidence was devastating and I was rooting for him to pull it together when he had Chino on his table but to no avail Not even the chickens read more
